The open principle facilitates networking with the outside world. Through friends, outsiders who have no connection to the community learn that people are using the app to meet up for things like football or to rent out apartments. This motivates them to download the app as well, even if they don't yet identify with the community. In this way, they get to know your community and are immediately well-connected. More information

How you want to use the app is entirely up to you. Every community uses it a little differently. You can use it for networking within your own community, or, for example, connect different church congregations within a region or city, thus encouraging communication between them. The app's group function allows you to communicate in subgroups. This way, communication within and between different groups can be combined. More information

We've observed that community members readily download the app to their smartphones because it's their own app and they can identify with it. Users don't feel like they're downloading yet another app that might bother them. It's the community's own app, and they're interested in its content. More information

In principle, anyone registered in the app can contribute content. However, there are different user roles that restrict access. If you want to create a post for a subgroup, you must be a member of that group. More information

Unregistered users see the first name and the first letter of the last name. Other account details and event locations are not displayed. More information

On the dashboard, posts are sorted by date, so new posts appear at the top. Older posts are not automatically deleted. This way, new users who download the app can immediately see what's currently happening and what's been happening in the community. More information

This isn't the case on smartphones due to space limitations. The tutorial, which can be found in the menu bar, shows and explains the names of the different categories. The titles will also be displayed once you click the plus sign to create a new post. On the desktop version or tablet, the descriptions are already displayed on the dashboard.

Email address and name are mandatory fields for registration.

Should there be inappropriate posts or chat messages, administrators and moderators can delete them. Regular users have the option to report posts and block users. The community can also decide how many moderators and administrators there should be in the app. More information

Yes, no other user can see what's in closed groups. To join a closed group, you must either send a join request or be invited. When you create a post, you can choose whether it should be visible only to a specific group or to all users. Files such as images, videos, and PDFs can be shared in the chats within posts. With parental consent, the app is also suitable for confirmation candidates.

Yes, the app can be downloaded as well as accessed via the web. This ensures that those who don't own a smartphone are not excluded.

If the municipality already has the app, it is usually recommended regularly. It can also typically be found in the app stores under the municipality's name.

Subgroups enable communication within groups. Posts can be made visible only to specific groups. This allows for protected communication while preventing users from being bothered with information that doesn't concern them. Communi only counts registered users. As an administrator, you have the ability to delete users. One option would be to ask past confirmation students to delete their accounts each year, or to delete them yourself as an administrator. More information

The app can be customized. Therefore, there isn't one single Communi app, but rather many different apps, each with its own design and functionality (as booked).
